Through the Saint Francis Care Innovative Community Participation Program, NDIS participants can develop social skills, showcase their talents, and participate in the community meaningful way. They will also increase their self-esteem and independence.
By supporting and participating in the activities you enjoy, we can help you connect with your community and learn new skills at the same time.
Services for community participation include the following
- Workshops for finding suitable employment
- A mentorship program to help you overcome obstacles and succeed in your career
- Support and assistance in starting a small business
- Skills classes aimed at improving existing ones or learning new ones

People with disabilities benefit greatly from connecting with others because it boosts their sense of well-being and gives them opportunities for building health, skills, knowledge, and employment prospects. Participating in such innovative programs strengthens the community and ensures that more programs are offered.
- You may purchase community disability nurse support from your allocated plan budget.
- State health services will continue to provide your disability-related health support if the support gets transferred to the NDIS immediately. State health services will make arrangements with the NDIA to review these plans and transfer them to the National Disability Insurance Program.
A registered community nurse will assess your clinical needs after meeting the NDIS eligibility criteria for complex support. A community nursing care NDIS program is arranged based on required nursing care type and frequency.
